Does this song “ring a bell”?
“Rockin’ around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday
Everyone’s dancin’ merrily, in the new old-fashioned way”

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree was written by Johnny Marks. Nicholas Music Inc. publishing company founded by Marks, holds the rights to this song and many others that he wrote including “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas”.
A young Brenda Lee at the early age of 5 began singing and performing in and around Atlanta, Georgia and in 1958 at the age of 13 recorded this song. The original version sold over 15 million copies around the world and in 2019 her recording of the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. She met Elvis Presley for the first time in 1957.
Just last December, 2023 the song topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. She was the oldest artist ever to top the Hot 100 at the age of 79. Congratulations Brenda Lee.
As Burl Ives sang “Have a holly jolly Christmas, it’s the best time of the year” and Andy Williams wasn’t too far behind singing “It’s the most wonderful time of the Year”….it sure is!
A rockin’ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
LITTLE CAESAR AND THE CONSULS (since 1956)
